Motive supplies control system components to most of the clients for which it develops engines. Motive can provide system bill-of-materials and offers a wide variety of control system components to fit most applications. If you don’t see what you want here, ask. Motive works with engine control component suppliers around the world. ECM’s are from Woodward. Most components are from automotive Tier1 suppliers. Motive can provide custom control code to fit your specific needs based on the MotoHawk operating platform.

Exhaust Catalysts: Three-way exhaust catalysts designed specifically to meet customer requirements with fuel-specific wash coat formulations for natural gas and LPG. Motive works with several leading catalyst manufacturers to provide the substrate, wash coat, and packaging.

NTK UEGO Control System: This is the original, the most accurate, and the fastest response UEGO sensor available. Don’t be fooled by imitations. Fully digital, instrument grade, and OEM quality make this UEGO system unique to the market. If you truly want the best information available for engine development and tuning, this is the system you need. Motive uses this system for calibration and also offers this product for sale. This product is manufactured by EControls.

UEGO control system comes complete with controller, sensor, and harness. Options include RS-232 communications cable and monitoring software. This system uses the 6312 NTK UEGO sensor for measurement of fuel-air equivalence ratio. It has a wider sensing range than the Bosch LSU sensor and is more accurate. This sensor works well with all types of fuels, including LPG and natural gas. The system can be used as a UEGO-based tuning instrument and also has a 5V analog output for use as feedback in a closed-loop fuel control system. The controller is environmentally hardened for heavy-duty on-engine operation and operates beyond 200 V/m EMI.

PC display software can be used to monitor and log real-time engine data. UEGO sensor diagnostics are also provided. Display is in PHI, a universal term for fuel mixture strength (the inverse of lambda as used in Europe). The advantage of PHI over air-fuel ratio is that it is fuel independent and will display correctly regardless of fuel type (gasoline, methanol, LPG, other)
